Recipe: Taiwanese Meat Sauce (B)

Made this Taiwanese Meat Sauce with Ground Beef since we needed a change in meat. (2nd version of the Taiwanese Meat Sauce that I found in March. Just slightly different… since this one includes simmering! Which I’ve learned how to do recently.) Been on a chicken cooking spree! Since it was mostly meat, no veggies added, this time. I supplemented with roasted veggies [link]. Turned out alright! :] Need to add in this shiitake mushroom one day… have yet to cook with a diff type of mushroom. x]

2nd time on 07.09.24. Added broccoli to the mix. So I’ve added it to the recipe! Still need to try it with the shiitake mushroom & possibly add in some cashew. (May be the first time cooking with nuts!) Oh! I’ve somehow converted this beef dish into chicken as well. x] Will be for both, I suppose. Too many chicken dishes.

4 cloves | Garlic minced | 2.5 tbsp | Sugar | 2 cups | Broccoli |

Instructions
Steps | Description |
Step 1 | Medium high heat. Add oil, onion. Saute 4-6mins~. |
Step 2 | Add meat. 6mins~. |
Step 3 | Add shallot/onion and garlic. Saute 2-3mins~. |
Step 4 | Add mushroom, broccoli, and cashew, oyster sauce, soysauce, and sugar. Saute 2-3mins~. |
Step 5 | Add spicy. 2-3mins. Optional. |
Step 6 | Add water. Simmer 20mins~. |
